Screen Size Help

Discussion in 'Parallels Desktop for Mac' started by Parallels User, Jan 10, 2007.

  1. I am using this on a 24" Imac, When I start Parallels up, it starts in a small window then when

Windows XP loads up the window size is as big as my OS X desktop I can't even see the start button

on XP. This is in console view, I have to go to full screen mode to see the start button on XP. How

can I reduce the screen size? . I am using the 170 build of Parrallels.

    Thanks for the help

I'm having the same problem! There is no way to resize the screen once windows launches (no way to resize the property view page either).

I've tried enabling different sized monitors, but that doesn't work. HELP!

  3. Any help!!!

Use your right click button in windows XP to select the properties anywhere on the XP desktop, then adjust your screen size.

  5. Thank you that worked!!!!!!!!!

    USB configuration....

New to any kind of forum.... Also new to MAC and Parallels... I recently purchased a IMAC 20 and loaded Parallels and WIN2000 in VM. >I have been a Windows user for 20+ years.... I set up a network in my home with 2 other PC's running Windows. So far I am able to talk to each PC and even see the IMAC as 2 seperate OS's and transfer files etc.... My problem is I can't see the USB port from the VM.... from the windows side in the Mac. Even if I plug a smart drive in the USB..

So I can't recogize or load my printer. I believe its probably a simple configuration problem....

    Thanks In advance

Why are you trying to hijack a screen size thread to talk about printing?

Search the forum for answers (since this problem has been discussed to death) or post your question to a new thread.

Thanks so much, I'm not sure why my screen resolution changed for the unexpanded mode, but you solved my problem. Much thanks!

best to start a new thread

    but anyway

which version of parallels are you using?

I don't have this problem in the latest BETA (not recommended for critical use at work yet)
