Problems upgrading to Parallels 5

I bought an upgrade to Parallels 5.0 and installed it on my Aluminum MacBook. I input the Version 5.0 product Key. It then asked for my previous Key, I found it and put in the new key and the response back was the key was invalid. I went to the Parallels site and in searching I found out that the upgrade procedure when upgrading from 2.x is different.

My question is what can I do now to resolve this? I have already purchased the apparently incorrect upgrade.
