I've upgraded to version 5 w/ XP. I'm a MB Pro with Snow Leopard.

Here's the message I get at Parallels start-up:

"The amount of video memory is too low.

The 3D acceleration support is enabled for this virtual machine, but the amount of video memory allocated to it is lower than 256 MB. You are highly recommended to increase the amount of video memory for optimal 3D performance."

Is this the reason my machine keeps freezing up?

    Thanks,

    Mark

You could try by increasing the vid memory to 256 and then testing whether the machine still locks up. Does the whole Mac freeze or "only" the VM?
