    Hi

I want to do a clean reinstall of Mac Os 10.4. But I don´t want to do a reinstall of my Win XP which is actually on my mac. Can I copy, save or clone my Win Partiton and simply paste it later, after I done the clean installation of Mac Os 10.4. Don´t want to install all apllication on my XP and settings once again.
    Best regards Martin

    Hi Martin,
yes, it is possible. Assuming you use Parallels Desktop 4/5, you can simply copy the .pvm bundle with corresponding virtual machine from ~/Documents/Parallels and save it on external USB drive, for instance. Once Mac OS X is reinstalled, you can install Parallels Desktop and point it to use existing image.

I recommend you to use WinClone, so you could fully backup your Windows partition, then copy the backup file to DVD and do a clean installation of Mac OS. You can then re-create the BootCamp partition from Mac OS, and restore the WinClone image.
