Is there someone how has managed running the 64bit-Version of Win XP Pro on a Mac?

Specially on a Mac Pro? ;-)

    .
64 bit is not supported yet. It's scheduled for the next major version due by the end of the year.

Yes, I have. Not on Parallels, but in BootCamp. Constant is correct, Parallels only does a single core 32bit processor right now, so x64 no workie.

Go to this link (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=631654) In the Apple Discussion Forums and I'll show you how to do it step by step.

Now that it's into 2007, has x64 been implemented into Parallels yet?

    Thanks

No. Parallels says it's on the schedule for version 3.0 which is due sometime early this year. Given that version 2.5 is still in testing (i.e., it's the current Release Candidate), I presume it'll be some months before we see the first beta with 64-bit support.

If you need 64-bit support today, you can try VMWare's Fusion public beta.
