I have installed and activiated 5.0. I keep getting an error message window that tells me that I can't update the program because it is not registered. It asks if I wish to register. I go through the registration screen. I've even checked with tech support and they confirmed that my 5.0 was registered with Parallels. They suggested that I uninstall 5.0, then reinstall...which I did to no avail. Other than that, 5.0 works well on my machine. At some point I would like to be able to check for automatic updates (and get rid of the errant error message). But until I get my software to think it's registered I will be blocked from updating. Any ideas? Thanks!

    Same problem

I purchased Parallels 5 this month and I can use it. But it won't update because it says it is not registered. I can see on this website that it is registered. But it won't update and when I try to register, it hangs and says the product is not registered. The only solution is the "register later" button. But that is annoying. Anyone know when this fix is coming and how to do it on a MacBookPro 13"?

    Hi jehserwin,
we are aware of the issue and do investigate it currently. You could try to register PD using another provider.

I-che: Can you explain why a service provider is responsible for PD 5.0 not working as it is supposed to???. Does not make sense.
