I have been using Parallels since v3, I am running Windows 7 Home Premium and it just crashes all the time. Particularly when I use the web.

Windows/Parallels crashed when I tried to download Safari. It crashed when I tried to download Firefox and it crashed when I tried to install the flash player. I bought parallels, so that I could test browser compatability in the websites I build.

I have tried bridged networking, shared networking, airport, all with the same result. The errors I get are varied but most often I get a message saying Windows has encountered a critical error and is shutting down. Sometimes it's an error about explorer crashing, and occasionally it's an error on startup about some kind of wrapper. in any event, whatever the cause, this product shouldn't be this hard to use! Frankly, It SHOULD just install and work.

I have already re-installed once to no avail, and I have the latest update. Now I'm just feeling over it. Fix my problem Parallels.

    Hi alkrantz,
    several suggestions:
    - make sure you are using build 9308: http://www.parallels.com/download/desktop/
    - try to remove antivirus (PIS / other AV software)
    - send us problem report when crashes happen and post report ID here (Help > Report a problem)

    Also..

Who knows.. random crashes can often be attributed to failing memory.

Download and burn Memtest and make sure your memory is fine.
