Hi ! I have installed a VM with windows XP (no SP) in order to test the PNG opacity under IE6. I am not talking about the technique used to display PNG with its opacity, it works with a regular PC. With my VM, IE6 doesn't display the PNG's opacity. Is it a known problem ? In that case, is there a work-around ? Thank you. Pierre
We are not aware of such problems. Please male sure that you have the same version of software of PC where PNG's opacity work fine and Parallels VM.
IE6 Doesn't have png transparency. Png's will show up with this ugly gray where ever it's supposed to be transparent. Only IE7 will do png's correctly. That is, unless you use the css filter property, but that has problems as well. Parallels isn't wine, IE can't tell it's not on a real machine, so IE works pretty much the way you'd expect it to with the resolution of the "monitor" being the only possible exception.
