Trying to update 5.0.9220 to 5.0.9308 installer gets to Conflicting Applications where it shows several Parallels app running, but none are running. I've rebooted the system with same result, I've repaired permissions and rebooted system with same result. Installation is stopped at this point and am unable to proceed as the Continue button remains grayed and inactive.

you may want to try uninstalling parallels (using the uninstaller that's on the disk image), restarting your mac, and then re-installing parallels. The uninstaller will ask you if you want to keep your parallels preferences (including the serial number) and your virtual machine(s). You should choose "yes" (keep the preferences and the vm).

Try uninstalling Parallels then reinstalling from the new 9308 .dmg. Extra step, but probably will sort out the problems.

    Upgrade to 9308

I am getting the same messages, then when I try to uninstall I get a message to say Desktop for Mac is running, it isn't I have rebooted.

Trying a few disk permission repairs to see if that helps.

    Anybody else have problems uninstalling???

    Thanks.

    Upgrade to 9308????

I ran "Repair Disk Permissions" 3 times, then tried to do an "upgrade" to 9308, same symptoms, says a lot of programs are still running.

Reboot, tried an uninstall, says PD is running??

    Any ideas?

    TIA.

OK, I'll try reinstalling, but won't be able to get to it for a few days.

    Thanks

Tried to uninstall, however that also reports Parallels Desktop running and won't proceed. I have a help ticket open with support
