Greetings! i have installed and operated Par5 for several weeks now. Things seem to be OK; a little learning curve: still do not know how to make the virtual machine accessible on my network (network machines SEE it, cannot access it). Problem right now: as I have checked and rechecked that my copy of Par5 is activated and registered, I am surprized that when I try to check for updates, a window pops up indicating that my copy of Par5 is not registered, thus I cannot check for/download eventual updates. What gives. I have also posted a similar support request to support.parallels.com. Will appreciate any recommendation, hint... - Roger T
I am working with support on this same problem. I will post if I get it figured out. I would appreciate the same if they get your problem fixed first. Willie
I have exactly the same problem I am seeing the exact same thing with a new install (not an upgrade).
I ended up egistering a support ticket with Parallels and was told that my reg number IS ACTUALLY IN THEIR DATABASE. They recommended to just do a reinstall with an uptodate build (I have Parallels 5 installed. Not latest build 9308 though. I am right now making sure that such a reinstall does not force me to but another copy of PD5 and that it does not mess up my current Win7 VM. They say NO to both questions . I suppose I shall take the plunge, even though I am always reluctant to do wholesale re-installs! - rt
