Prior to updating to the latest Parallels version (9308), I was able to connect to my corporate VPN via the Cisco VPN client for OS X and using the "shared network" in Parallels, was able to use that VPN connection in my Windows 7 virtual machine. Since 9308 I can no longer use the VPN connection in that setup (I think it is DNS related, but have no way of confirming). Now I have to use the Cisco Client on Windows 7 to connect the virtual machine to our corporate network. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Me Too Hi Edin, I've got the same thing, reported under a different forum thread: http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=97590 I've just today reported it to the support team via the Report a Problem link in the Help menu. Perhaps if you do the same they will be able to identify the issue.
Could you please try embedded to Mac OS VPN Client? It should work with it. If you can't for some reason use Mac OS VPN Client, try to determine DNS-server for VPN, then at Windows-side, open LocalAreaConnection preferences -> TCP/IP v4 -> and make this dns-server be Primary DNS Server. Secondary should be 10.211.55.1 - Parallels Shared Networking DNS server. If you have troubles with determine the IP-address of VPN's DNS, please please enable Verbose Logging via menu "Parallels Desktop -> Preferences -> General -> Use detailed log messages", then connect to VPN. Then try to ping from Windows some VPNd server by its name (or just access it). After that click menu of Parallels Desktop "Help" -> "Report a Problem" and send a problem report (the description is not necessary) and post here its id. After that disable the Verbose Logging.
