I think I wanna try 1970 again, but when I uninstall RC1 and install 1970, it says that my trial license has expired. I don't have a trial license; I bought the package, and 3106 and RC1 both recognize the key. Any ideas as to how to get 1970 to work again?
check to make sure that /Library/Parallels is empty, using Terminal. You need to make sure there are no .parallels_licence_2.x files . To be on the safe side. you could just move these to the dekstop so that parallels doesnt find them, try installing 1970 then, then delete them if you are happy everything is working.... just to be safe...
Re-installing 1970 doesn't work I ran the uninstall for 3120 and then removed /Library/Parallels. When I run the 1970 installer, it says there's a newer version installed, and when I click install anyway, it says there's nothing to do. The directory /Applications/Parallels doesn't exist either. Where are the other pieces of 3120 hiding?
Be sure to delete the "Install Parallels Desktop.pkg" file from the /Library/Receipts folder as well.
Thanks for the help. Actually what I tried was to re-install 3120, then uninstall it, then install 1970. That worked.
