    Hi-

I just bought a Macbook Pro 2.8 with 4 GB of RAM and a 500 GB HD.

I successfully installed Windows 7 with Boot Camp and successfully set up a Parallels VM using the Boot Camp partition.

I know that when I'm using Parallels, I can read and write to the Win7 NTFS partition from OS-X and to the HFS+ partition from Win7.

What I'm wondering (and this is probably quite a newbie question) is whether it's possible to make use of Parallels' NTFS/HFS+ drivers to allow me to read and write across the partitions when a) I'm in OS-X but haven't started up Parallels (but want to read/write to the NTFS partition) and b) when I'm in Win7 via Boot Camp and want to read / write to the HFS+ partition.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

i'm afraid not - sharing mechanism's working just when virtual machine started

i'm afraid that not too by the same reasons but from other side: Mac OS should be loaded and PD started. Actually Parallels Desktop main goal just to let you to work with both OSes without Mac OS restart. So all attempts to use these OSes separately doesn't make sense in PD scope.
