Can't install (this seems to have been installed before, but I'm not sure) what should be Kaspersky 2009. I didn't uninstall it but can't now install this software with Parallels 5 and XP (Guest OS) and OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.2 as the host OS. I did try to reinstall Tools, but Kaspersky failed to reinstall after that as well (with same message screen, see attachment). BTW, your trouble ticket system is difficult to get into. My user account says I have 18nos. of email support yet cannot get a ticket number to do so. So I did NOT submit a trouble ticket despite repeated attempts.
I'm having the exact same problem with my Windows 7 virtual machine on Mac OS X 10.6.2. I installed Kaspersky when I set up the new virtual machine; however, about a week ago Parallels started asking me if I wanted to install Kaspersky. When I try to install, I get an error telling me that the installer package is not valid. Any ideas?
jpfrantz, please do the following: 1. Remove PIS from Programs and Features list 2. Restart VM 3. Install PIS from Virtual Machine menu Make sure to do all above under administrator account.
I went to the Programs and Features CP, but PIS isn't shown in the list (but I do remember installing it). So I can't do an uninstall, and whenever I try to install PIS I get the same error.
