I'm trying to move my Virtualbox VM to Parallels and not getting anywhere; it won't find/accept the files. I've gotten that I need to import the .vdi files somehow, but it won't let me do that. Or the .xml files.

    I found this:

I don't know what a dynamic/static drive is or how to make one out of the other. I also am very new to the whole VM/computer hacking thing (I'm going to just pull the mac user excuse on this one).

I'm using Parallels 4.0 on a basic Leopard-equipped Macbook with a jammed disk drive (how I fit 3 disks in there, I'll never know). I'm not using boot camp, and I've never used a previous version of Parallels.

All right, so I got a new windows iso and tried installing. It works, but for some reason my applications don't want to. Normal applications like IWTBG, Firefox, and the like work fine in Parallels, but the applications I really need, the homemade .net applications crash as soon as I open them (yes I have the .net framework).

did you actually put three disks into your disk drive? did you ever get them out?

regarding your .net issues... which windows have you installed? have you got a network connection running?

    1. No, that's why I'm not getting my old windows disk and rebooting that. >.>
    2. It connected to the internet. .net seems to be running fine (.net-based apps that have an icon and a producer seem to work just fine), and I'm using windows XP. I don't know where the problem is, tbh. :(

Also: I got the same windows ISO that I used on virtualbox working (not the same hard drive, but still) on Parallels... The .net apps still don't work.
