    Hello,
I've just installed Win7 on my MacBook Pro (Snow Leopard) running Parallels 5. It seems to be working fine except that the name of the virtual machine remains Vista in my list of virtual machines and on the desktop title bar. Should this not automatically have been renamed? Can I change this myself, or would this cause confusion of some kind.
    Tks,
    Wayne

Wayne, in Virtual machine's configuration on General tab you can give any name you need.

    So simple

Thanks for the solution. I'd actually gone to the Configure menu item before posting but couldn't change the name. It didn't dawn on me until trying your solution that I first had to shut down Windows. : - )

    Much appreciated.

    Hi JeromeS,
should be possible. Make sure to restart Mac OS X, start Parallels Desktop (don't start VM), control-click the needed VM in Virtual Machine List and select Configure. Editing name should be possible in General tab.
