Does parallels desktop 5 for mac cretae a partition of the hard drive when you instalate a new virtual machine and if not does it matter if you create a partition and you install windows there thankyou Juan
By default, Parallels Desktop does not create a partition for the virtual machine, it creates a hard disk image instead. Having Windows installed on a partition is, basically, what Boot Camp does. And you can also create a virtual machine based on a Boot Camp partition, the following documentation part has the description: http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v5/docs/en/Parallels_Desktop_Users_Guide/22183.htm
