I'm having issues with Vista not automatically updating the time/date. I have to manually update the date and then resync the time to update. Is this a known issue and are there any fixes?
The behavior of Parallels Time Synchronization feature depends on the settings that you have specified in the VMConfig->Options->Services window. If you want your guest OS automatically synchronize time with the host OS time, the "Synchronize with Mac" checkbox should be ticked off. Also, make sure you have Parallels Tools installed.
I'm having an issue with date & time synch under Win XP, too. I discovered that it was set to Nov 1 (29 days ago) and time was off by a few hours. I had Windows set to automatically sync to the Microsoft server, but I had Virtual Machine set to sync to the Mac, with the with option to "allow a different time than on Mac." I turned off the sync to the MS server within Windows, then unchecked the "allow different time than on Mac" option and closed the setttings window but the date and time never synched to the Mac. I ended up having to set the date and time in Windows manually. Do I need to reboot Win for the changes in sync preferences (both within Win and Parallels) to take effect? Thanks, Dennis
and for me time sync does not work (running the latest public build, and yes, time sync is allowed, having a different time on VM is not allowed)... every time I put my computer to sleep and wake it up few hours later, Mac OS X time is correct, Windows 7 time shows the time when I put my computer to sleep... kind of annoying...
have the same problem with Windows 7 Pro/Parallels 10. The problem occurs after waking the system up from sleep mode.
