I can't write to the desktop after installing Ubuntu 9.04 with Parallels 5 Easy

    Hi,
    The Parallels 5 easy installer installs Ubuntu 9.04 without user write privileges on the Desktop folder. So the user has write privs everywhere else, but not to the Ubuntu Desktop.

    Anyone know how to change the write privileges on the users Desktop in the Ubuntu guest OS?

    I did see the solution in the article but thought there might be a much easier way to do it than reinstalling.
