preallocate hard disk space

    i was a VMWare user and i noticed performance gains when I pre allocated several GB (60GB) of disk space for my virtual drive.

    is this possible in Parallels, or doe sit only resize as needed? the reason i ask is because i do database intesive work that constantly grows and shrinks large files.

    can anyone help me set this up in parallels 5? thanks.
