We use Parallels mostly for the marine navigation programs on our sailboat.

For the past 4 years I've been using one Keyspan adaptor that connects to an SSB radio to do HF radio email.

I have just added a second Keyspan USB adaptor that is suppose to control the radio frequency making it easier to operate and send emails. So far I can only get one Keyspan adaptor to work. Either one but only one at a time.

Since in order to make the darn frequency control cable to work I need to have both adaptors working at the same time I have to figure it out.

Any suggestions or can anyone point me to a webpage or information on getting both to work. I would think that first the Mac. needs to recognize both Keyspan adaptors. The second part is getting Parallels to recognize them both and finally the program itself. In this case, a program called Sailmail.

Using Parallels 3.0, XP and an Intel Macbook

Any help appreciated. Dan,,,,,, Our website www.svtropicaldance.net

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. It's a communication thing

Alexander Haltman and the Parallels support team.

I thought I would receive a notice that you responded on my email address but it didn't happen so I just found your response. I have updated to Parallels 5 but it still doesn't work.

Info,,,, Parallels Desktop 5, Intel Macbook with 10.5.8. running Windows XP ( everything up to date ) Airmail communication program http://www.siriuscyber.net/

Our Pactor modem is a 2001 pre usb model making it a bit more difficult. I understand that the new USB model Pactor modem works fine with Parallels 5 and an Icom SSB M-710. Unfortunately to purchase a new Pactor modem is more than $1,000.00 dollars.

We are currently in California and are flying back to the boat in Panama next week. We will be doing a 1,000 mile passage and it would be great to get both Keyspan adaptors working for our 'weather report emails' over the HF radio. As mentioned, I can receive and send emails through the Pactor digital modem with one Keyspan adaptor but I have to manually tune the Icom 710 high frequency radio as I can't get 2 Keyspand adaptors to work at the same time. If I can get the 'frequency control cable' to work, the 'Airmail' program will make the process a lot easier. Especially while sending and receiving information during rough weather

It's possible that one of the Keyspan adaptors have gone 'belly up' or has a problem as one seems to work better than the other and I have started using only that one. Other than replacing the Keyspan adaptor I have no idea how to correct the problem.

I'm open to all ideas on how to get it to work. Are there any dual adaptors ( 2 serial to usb in one ) that may resolve the problem easily?,,,,, or, any ideas.

    Thanks,

    Dan y
