I have iMac running Snow Leopard 10.6.1. Upgraded to Parallels 5 w/o incident w/ Windows Vista installed. I now want to install Windows 7. When I start the install process I get message that: "not enough free space on partition C total of 12689 mb of free disk space required". Is there a step by step guide available on how I can increase the available free space on "partiton C " so I can upgrade my Vista to Windows 7 ? Thanks for any help.
I am having exactly the same issue, and I have only around 10.8 GB of available space (AFTER uninstalling all extra Windows programs like Safari, iTunes, etc). I also tried removing some Vista program files (like Movie Maker) to create more space but could not remove them. Help!
Found this in the forums. Looks like it should work but the post is over a year old: "How to expand drive C in Mac OS X" http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=30381&highlight=expand+drive+mac+os[/url]
Increase virtual hard disk size Think I can help. Had to do this to install W7 under PD4. In PD5 go to Configuration>Hardware>Resize..., then expand your virtual HDD.
