I use snowLeopard and Windows Vista Basic for Jeppesen PC-planner, USB device for C card.

Purchased from Mac Store at the same time as upgraded to snowleopard. 28 aug-09

Desktop 4.0 installed and running Vista Basic does not support USB device? I tried all settings,. IT DOES NOT WORK.

I removed the parallels application and now run in Bootcamp mode,

    Hi, LarsC.

To find roots of the problem we need some info.
    Please, do the following:

    - boot to mac os
    - run parallels desktop
    - open virtual machine's configuration, cpu configuration,
add string "devices.usb.loglevel=2" to the System Flags edit box
    - run virtual machine
    - connect device to virtual machine to reproduce issue
    - generate problem report and send it to our problems report server (go to menu: Help -> Problem Report)
    - post report id here
    - stop virtual machine
    - go to virtual machine configuration and remove "devices.usb.loglevel=2" string from System Flags edit box
