First of all, let me say that I absolutely love PD5. It has been very stable and fast, so much that I no longer even plan to test any future versions of Fusion or Virtualbox. If you knew me, that is a huge compliment since I love to test software :).

Ok so here's my situation. I'm running two XP guests running in coherence mode, both with windows taskbars showing on the right and left side of my screen. I run gaming applications in these and am CONSTANTLY clicking back and forth between VMs. I find it sort of annoying though that this process seems to be a two click process, one click to grab the window, and then another click to actually perform the task. If this was only something I did a few times a day then it wouldn't be a big issue for me, but I literally click back and forth thousands of times a day, and virtually every day of my life.

I was hoping "group coherence windows" and "bring active window to front" would help this, but they don't seem to. Maybe I'm reading the definition of the settings wrong, I don't know. I was hoping someone here could tell me there is or isn't a way to do what I want to do. Also if there isn't a way, I was hoping that parallels could maybe put this feature on their list for future upgrades.

Hi, sorry for the delay. This is by design behavior. First click to activate, second click to do the thing. There is no way to change it. The reasons of such behavior is:
    - We consider it more convenient since it is always possible to activate desired window without a chance to press "something" you really don't want
    - We consider it more Mac-like
Your version of behavior was tested also internally, but there were too much negative responses about it.

I'm a little unsure how you consider it "more mac like". If you're using Mail and in one click grab a safari window and attempt to drag it then it will drag it in one click.

I guess I'm a little confused also that if you created this by design, then why is there one click operation between two VMs in Windowed mode, but not in coherence. It seems to be that users would want the exact opposite.

I would really appreciate at least the option of turning one click on in the config. You could still do it the way you think most people want it by default. After all, that's the biggest reason I chose PD over Fusion... because of all the configuration options.

Thanks for the post, we consider it in our feature-improvement plans.

Hi, any update on this? I consider Parallels 5 as the perfect virtualization... except for this one little thing that drives me insane on a daily basis.

Please tell me there's a fix for this.

I downloaded the update today, hoping that this feature would be enabled, but doesn't seem to be?

I would pay extra for a customization if that service is available, please let me know.
