I'm trying to install Parallels Tools 5.0 into a BootCamp Vista installation. I've actually not been able to get Parallels Tools working on this since upgrading to Snow Leopard back in the 4.0 days... the ethernet card is no longer recognized, the Wacom mouse no longer works, it's really no longer useable. The installation bombs somewhere near the very end with an assembly error, and then takes forever to roll back. I have in the past tried everything I could find listed here for correcting the problem with 4.0 and was really hoping that 5.0 would fix the problem, but apparently no joy.
Hi, to help you i need following information: 1. Problem report. To generate problem report run Parallels Desktop and in menubar select Help->Report a Problem... Post number of report here (it will be shown in message box after sending report) 2. Try to get following file from Windows: C:\Windows\Temp\parallels.log, C:\Windows\Temp\paralels-setup.log and C:\Windows\Temp\paralels-tools-setup.log (see screenshot) and post them here. To get files from windows you can use USB-flash drive or use Parallels Mounter tool.
Attachments I don't know where they went; I used the "Attach Files" thing below. I'll do it again. They are currently both shown in the "Attach Files" section below, and they are bzipped so as to meet the filename extension requirements:
