I have a white MacBook (model 1,1; Core Duo 2GHz, 2GB RAM, GMA 950 graphics with 64MB shared system memory). I'm running Snow Leopard and Windows 7. It won't display Windows Aero mode, however. When I run the Aero Troubleshooter app, it comes back with this message: "Desktop Window Manager is disabled". Any help would be appreciated.
I don't know for sure, but try running the Windows Experience Index. As long as the Aero graphics score is 2.0 or higher you should be able to run it. Usually if your computer can run Aero, if Windows 7 sees the "Desktop Window Manager" setting is incorrect it will fix it automatically.
Thanks. I think you need to put a little asterisk (*) next to your marketing text that claims Aero support, pointing out that it depends upon your Mac hardware. That was the main (but not only) reason I updated to Parallels 5.
I have the same issue and its dissappointing to say the least as I quite like Win7 and it runs great in Parallels. I am looking to replace my White Macbook with a 13" Unibody MBP, can anyone confirm that Aero runs ok using Parallels on this model?
