I have a Lexmark X5470 Printer/Fax/Copier/Scanner that works perfectly when i try and print/scan documents in the mac os setting...I have a 5 month old macbook that runs parallels which i use for microsoft os specific programs..I have installed the drivers within the parallels program...but cant seem to get the printer to be able to communicate with computer in the parallels vm.....I have no clue what to do...I try and print test pages and it says its going through...but nothing happens...I have tried to download the bonjour printer wizard and its cant find my printer either....any help would be much appreciated...thanks

Bonjour is useful for locating network printers, and won't be useful if you are trying to get a guest VM to talk directly to the hardware.

If the printer is installed under OSX and shared, Bonjour will allow you to use its features over the network.

Parallels has a lot of trouble with USB devices still. Resolution has been promised RSN.

Everytime I try to print any file...test print, document whatever it says
The Current Print Job has been Canceled
The Printer is to work with USB Cables Only
The Current Software Setting is not set to a USB port
Make Sure your using a usb cable
Make Sure the printer is set to a usb port

If the Bonjour printer device is configured as raw then it will pass unmodified the data stream you send it from Windows. It requires the Windows applicaiton via the Windows printer driver provide the correctly formatted print stream. OS X acts only as a conduit. It works well.
