This is a bug i think..

when running in crystal mode, start any app (say internet explorer)

on the mac bar on top, you can pull down and choose "Quit Application (Command-Q)" and it works correctly.

however... if you use the keyboard "Command-Q" it not only closes the app, it closes parallels too!

    arrg..

    anyone else have this prob?

    macmini-snow leopard.

This by design, it works like that now. Thanks for the post, we consider your opinion in our feature-improvment plans.

    delphipgmr,

you can avoid this by switching off the keyboard option in Parallels Desktop preferences:
Preferences -> Keyboard & Mouse -> "Enable Mac OS X system shortcuts"

So your telling me that even though in the menu it basically says "press command-q to quit the application" and doing so SHUTS THE WHOLE SYSTEM down, that its a "Feature"?

I thought i gave up those kindof "Features" when i got a mac.....

I agree with delphipgmr. It would be extremely nice, if command-q could be used to quit the active windows application instead of the virtual machine.
One sticks to old habits, and hitting command-q to exit is a habit. And crystal is very nice, you forget about working in Windows. But then you hit command-q...aargh, I'm in Windows, has to hit alt-F4 instead.

actually, yuri was right, if you change that setting it works fine.
