I bought a new iMac today and migrated my data and apps from my old iMac. All apps moved ok except Parallels 4.0 on my old Mac came over to my new Mac as 3.0 (no idea how or why) which of course won't run on 10.6. So I redownloaded the 4.0 upgrade. When I run it halts and says there is a conflicted virtual machine running. Of course there is'nt because it won't open.

    Any ideas?

    Hello Tnrchrds,

Please go through the steps mentioned below:

    1) Please, open the Parallels folder: by default it is placed in one of the following directories.

    /Users/<you user name>/Documents/
    /Users/<you user name>/Library/

    2) Find the correspondent virtual machine's folder (Microsoft Windows XP in our example).

    3) Delete the files with .mem and .sav extensions.

Please continue the upgrade process now, it will continue smoothly.

    Thank you.
