I have Parallels 4 installed on my iMac intel computer. I get notifications that an update is available but when it goes to install, the installation window Flashes then disappears and nothing happens until the next time it pops up.. then the whole thing starts over again... any suggestions? Also, one additional question if anyone has any ideas.... how do I COMPLETELY remove Parallels? The uninstall program apparently removes much of it, but not all of it. After running the uninstall program and then reinstalling it, it showed all the same previously installed software, AIM etc...so I know it didn't UNINSTALL everything... thanks for your time Geoff
Hello Geoffrey, Regarding the update issue, please follow these instructions: Restart MAC, don’t start any applications. Please follow these steps: 1. Open Finder. 2. Go to Applications/Utilities/Disk Utilities. 3. Choose MAC HD. 4. Choose repair disk permissions. After performing the repair disk permissions, restart the computer and try to download parallels once more using the link given below: http://download.parallels.com/deskt...lsDesktop-parallels-en_US-4.0.3846.436204.dmg Then reboot your Mac, and without starting Parallels Desktop open downloaded update package, and follow the installation instructions.
