Running Parallels Desktop for Mac Pro, OS X 10.6.1. Windows XP SP2 1) There is an icon on the desktop called Windows XP. When I try to delete it I'm warned that it's a system file and some programs may not work if removed. Can this file be deleted or moved from the desktop? 2) In coherence mode my Excel 2003 window cannot be moved from one display to another. 3) In coherence mode I cannot get the Start menu in the dock to pop up when clicked. 4) I did a platform switch with my Adobe products and deactivated my Windows versions. Can I use the Acrobat on my Mac platform to create .pdf files? Will I be able to use my Windows version of Adobe Presenter with my Mac Powerpoint software? 5) The box says the product ships with Kaspersky Internet Security, but I don't see it installed. Honestly I haven't checked the install CD, but will. 6) Any Mac users know how to quickly get back to the Mac Desktop? Expose requires you to chose an ap, I want to get to the desktop. Any tips would be appreciated.
Hello Jason, check the answers below: 1. If I understood you correctly, this file is an alias and thus,. it can safely be removed. 2. If this is Parallels Desktop 4.0, make sure you have enabled multiple displays in Coherence settings. 3. Could you please clarify this one a little bit more? Do you see the Windows taskbar in Coherence mode? Does it respond to any action? 4. I am not antirely sure about Acrobat on Mac functionality, but I am almost certain that different versions of Adobe software (for Windows and for Mac), would not be able to cooperate. This question, however, should be better asked at Adobe support. 5. This is called Parallels Internet Security (and it is based on Kaspersky).
