    Please help!

I have Windows XP on my Dell laptop and just recently bought a MacBook Pro and Parallels Desktop 4.0 for Mac. I installed Parallels and entered my Windows XP product key, but now Parallels is asking me to insert the Windows XP installation CD or DVD into the drive. Sine I bought my Dell laptop with XP already installed, I don't have the physical CD or DVD....is there anything I can do or do I have to purchase Windows Vista or XP now in order to run Windows on my Mac?

The XP on your laptop is only licensed for your laptop.

Every installation of Windows, whether it is actual or virtual, requires it's own license. You need to purchase a copy of Windows to use in your Parallels virtual installation.

Your preinstalled XP on your laptop is almost certainly an OEM version tied to that machine. You can't install another copy somewhere else (legally), if that's the case. You'll have to buy an off-the-shelf version.
