    Hi,

I'm using Parallels 4.0 on my Snow Leopard iMac with XP installed under parallels.

When I print on my USB connected Brother MFC-7440N from the Mac, everything is fine. When I print from XP, some characters are wrong (I get question marks or weird characters instead of accented characters).

    How can I fix this?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

On Mac side please check the following:
    1) System Preferences -> Sharing -> Printer Sharing -> Printer Sharing on-> Open Print and fax preferences -> there should be the printer

    2) Configure -> Parallel Port 1 (or add it "+" parallel port) -> it should be connected and enabled

Start Virtual Machine -> Parallel Port 1 -> Connect default printer or printer you specified when you set up Parallel Port 1

In case that does not help you may install Bonjour, please check the following articles:

Well this never worked but I hopefullly managed to make the printer work using Bonjour... I had to disable AVG firewall though and use XP firewall as I didn't manage to configure AVG firewall for Bonjour...
