I recently upgraded to Snow Leopard and Parallels 4.0. When I plug my flash drive in, it asks if I want it to appear on my Mac or on my virtual machine. I select virtual machine and it shows up under Devices > USB. However, it doesn't show up in My Computer, it doesn't show up when I go to save things and when I click "Safely Remove Hardware," it doesn't show up as having any hardware inserted.

The flash drive works fine on the Mac side and on other Macs/PCs I've plugged it into.

    Hello Ruth,

Please follow the steps mentioned below:

    1. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl in the Open box, and then click OK.
    2. Click the Hardware tab.
    3. Click the Device Manager button.
    4. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
    5. Right-click every device under the Universal Serial Bus controllers node, and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time.
    6. Restart the computer, and then reinstall the USB controllers.
    7. Plug in the removable USB storage device, and then test to make sure that the issue is resolved.
