Hi, Lately, I've been getting almost daily KPs on an otherwise stable Mac Pro. After the last two, I checked the system.log and panic.log files for corresponding information. I found that, in both cases, several Parallels modules were loading (though Parallels was not running). In both cases, a KP resulted within a second or two of the Parallels activity. I am not sure if/how they are related but it seems like a probable candidate. Interestingly, I also have Parallels installed on my MacBook Pro and I haven't seen this kind of system log activity. Below is a sample of system log output: Jan 9 19:29:00 MacPro Parallels: Loading Hypervisor module... Jan 9 19:29:00 MacPro kernel[0]: [Parallels] Parallels Workstation Hypervisor started. I have filed reports with support and cross-posted in a similar thread started by another MacPro user. Suggestions or comments are appreciated as I'd like to resolve this sooner than later. thanks
I had several additional identical crashes. I disabled the ethernet in the configuration window of Parallels and haven't seen a KP in 24 hours. Perhaps that was an issue? I guess no one else is experiencing a similar problem.
I spoke too soon. KPs are back and Parallels hypervisor is always running (as are other parallels processes noted above) within a second or two of the KP. Several support requests have gone unanswered. Hopefully there will be a fix or at least some feedback. I'd not like to have to uninstall SW I have already paid for.
