I did a clean install of Snow Leopard as I never upgraded from Tiger to Leopard. So I purchased Parallels for MAC boxed edition version 4. I have Windows XP Home Edition. I could not install Boot Camp but it went smoothly to install Parallels and XP which only had Service Pack 1 on the disk. Some of my Windows programs won't run without Service Pack 2. I made sure that Kaspersky Anti-Virus was enabled and downloaded Service packs 2 and 3 and installed the rest of my programs.

Actually been having better luck with things working. I am a CorelDRAW user and it works very well. Had a few problems with my Wacom Intuos tablet, so I got rid of the drivers and software on the installation disk and tried downloading it, I found that the up to date version didn't work. Well it did but the next time in Windows, the driver didn't work for the tablet, I could draw, just no pressure sensitivity. But I did find that an older version of the tablet driver works in Windows and that it remembers my tablet configs every time I boot up Windows. To get the mouse pointer to sink with the tablet, I still had to turn on mouse tails set to short. You can't really see the tail, but it does make the tablet behave like it does in MAC.

I've had some sound issues. Sometimes it sees my USB headset in Windows, sometimes it doesn't. It seems to matter which USB port I have the headset hooked up to.

Now I am running Norton Security Suite 09 and all is working.

Everything works, I had just hoped that I could use Boot Camp.

Presumably you can't use Bootcamp because your XP wasn't SP2?

You could try nLite and combine your XP and SP2/3 downloads to make a new installation disk. Can't promise it will work, but maybe worth a try.
