When I start Windows 7 and allow PD PIS to start, the Kaspersky AV and firewall do not start. I get the following msg: "Windows did not trust this program because its identity could not be verified." Does this just not work or is there something I can do short of getting another product? Thanks for your help.
Hello, Please follow the link below in regards to the issue: http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsvistas...ecurity-center-user-focused-improvements.aspx
Anapuma, The article was for Vista in 2006. I realize that there are some similarities with Vista and 7, but what are you really trying to say? Are you just telling me I have to get w/ Kaspersky to fix Parallels PIS or what are you telling me? I would appreciate a straight-up answer so I can get on with this. The built in security was one of the deciding points for using Parallels over VMWare. I hope that this is workable. I am looking forward to some real help here. Thank you. Kyle
I really need some help with this. The article did not provide any help. It only referenced that the Vista folks had a new security center window and facility. It did not address the problem I am having. Please provide some help. I paid good money for this software and I am very disappointed. VMWare is looking better all the time, but I would really like to use Parallesl since I have multiple OS'es on it. Thanks, in advance, for any help you might offer.
No Support anymore? My Kaspersky license seems to outdate in a couple of days. Clicking on to the reminder the Parallels update web page is not available. Searching at Parallels web site no Kaspersky page is found to update the license. Furthermore it does not work with Win7 32-bit and Win7 64-bit. In Win7 64-bit also the ethernet bridge to the Mac does not work.
I have both issues I have one VM that the Anti Virus and the Firewall will not start "Windows can not identify this as a trusted application" and one VM that the licencse only lasts for about 2 weeks. Help with both of these issues would be appreciated.
I wrote to Parallels Support and they confirmed that PIS does not work. They do not have any updates. So I use the free Microsoft Security Essentials and Microsoft Firewall instead which works. Be sure to update Security Essentials by hand if it does not updates its database automatically in any case.
