I got 4.0 upgrade installed on Mac OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard) operating system. All seemed normal with the exception of a page memory warning. I was troubleshooting that and shut down the machine normally it seemed. I did hid Shut Down a second time after the normal menu did not appear (picture 5). That's when the trouble started. At the regular menu (picture 4), I found that the start button was grayed out and nothing I could do would allow a start. See pics. It appears that the virtual machine did not actually complete the shut down. How can I get it ready to start? The .pvm package appears OK (picture 3). Tried to restore it from Time Machine with no difference in the symptoms. Appreciate any help... Henry
Hello Henry, Please follow the article below in regards to the issue: http://kb.parallels.com/en/6338
Thanks! Shutdown/Restart accomplished the same thing apparently. I'll keep your Terminal workaround handy though, until 5.x is available.
