Can't install 3846 update

I'm running parallels desktop 4.0 on mac with snow leopard. I downloaded update, and after i type in my mac password to allow for update program to run, the installation begins and then stops after about 5 seconds. No error message. I downloaded again and same problem. Please help!

I have the same problem with a MacBook Pro and MacPro.

Same problem here

I am having the exact same problem. The install works up until the point of the License Agreement screen. This screen flashes briefly onto the screen then the installation fails and quits.

Please advise ASAP.

Same problem here. I was already on 10.6.1 when I run the update... something wrong with that?

Run the installer by itself

Go to the downloads folder the run the.dmg. That worked for me.

 

No installer found

To get rid of the interminable reminders to install, I click ok, install, and after the password screen I get the message that no installer file is found: contact support. OK, where is the support and why when I download do I get everything but the installer?
