I recently upgraded my Mac op system to snow lep only to find that my 3.0 version of parallels wound not run. I purchased a download upgrade to the 4.0 verion but when I try to install it i receive the error "conflicting virtual machines" I am asked to shut down these running or suspended virtual machines then it list Microsoft windows XP

I do not think this is running. Have shut doen, powered off and unpluged. What do I need to do to continue the install

    same problem

I'm having the exact same problem. I'm pretty sure the message that is appearing is because my virtual machine was paused before the upgrade. I think that this is what it considers to be a "suspended" virtual machine.

Unfortunately, I'm also not sure what to do at this point.

    articles

I already started using the article I posted that is shown for the exact same symptoms. When should someone use one set of instructions versus the other? What difference will using one make versus using the other?

    thanks!
