    Hello Folks,

How about someone from the Parallels Support team stepping up here and posting a definitive answer, will there be an upgrade patch for version 3.0 so it will run on Snow Leopard or not?

    Thanks for your support..

    Yes, Help on this

Is it true that v4.0 is required for Snow Leopard?

If so, must one re-install the virtual OS (Windows XP). Will v4.0 come with instructions about how to do this without re-install?

    Thanks

No, no need to reinstall XP. Just make sure you fully close down XP before installing PD4 and make a backup copy of the VM for safety first.

(There is a thread somewhere here about XP freezing during the conversion to PD4 for which there is a solution, which I can't find for the moment, that involves going into manual mode)

PD3 to PD4 upgrade freezing in "Step 2 of 4"

    Salamat,

That freezing occurred to me during my upgrade from PD3 to PD4 under Snow Leopard. You just click on the padlock icon on the upper right hand corner of the installation screen. This is a manual over ride of the auto installation. In my case I had to manually reactivate Windows XP after which I was able to resume automatic install process. This happened at "Step 2 of 4".

This is the link to a more "authoritative" thread http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=90459
