Hi, when i first installed Parallels, it already did this. basically, if i was navigating Windows XP in Window-mode, i could not move the mouse outside the borders. the only way to get out was to press control+alt, i think. or 4-finger swipe, or alt+tab. i liked that feature. but it stopped doing that after i installed Parallels Tools. i tried uninstalling that, and that didn't work. i've checked through Preferences, and Config, and i didn't see anything. is there a way to do this?
Try going to Config -> Features -> Services and disable "Automatically capture and release the mouse pointer" option: http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v4/docs/en/Parallels_Desktop_Users_Guide/26827.htm This would do the trick. Do not forget to shut down virtual machine first, otherwise the option would be greyed out.
doesn't work for me I cannot make the mouse move between the XP and mac windows. When I clck inside the XP it captures the mouse and then it cannot be released. I have to shut the mac down to get control back. Had the same problem on my desktop when i upgraded from 3 to 4. Took 4 weeks on this forum and them you had 2 nd tier set up an onlie session to connect to the computer remotely. Took him 2 hours to get it fixed. Looks like the same thing all over again. I NEED THIS FIXED NOW
