I searched and found this thread discussing the scorll wheel, but I did not find my answer so I am starting a new thread that is more specific. How can I enable left/right scrolling when I tilt the wheel on my mouse? I tried windows control panel, but the mouse defined there only seems to have support for vertical scrolling. I'm running the latest build of Parallels Desktop V4 and Windows XP SP3 in my virtual machine. Paul
Unfortunately, this is impossible. You can check for more information at the following article: http://kb.parallels.com/en/5854 You can try installing the drivers specific to your mouse, but there is guarantee it would work properly.
I second this request!! I second this request. It is really annoying to have the left/right feature of the mightymouse translate into an up/down scrolling action within Parallels. Ideally Parallels would write a mouse driver that supports this feature. It /should/ be possible - there are plenty of Windows mouse drivers that support sideways scrolling (see Logitech for one). The KB article only indicates that it is impossible using the current driver, which emulates the generic two-button scroll mouse. But as a fallback perhaps Parallels could simply disable the sideways scrolling, because it really messes with your mind having it scroll up and down when you want to go left or right. Please Parallels, write a driver to take advantage of the left/right scroll capability of the mac mouse, but if that's too hard, simply disable it and only allow up/down scrolling.
