This weekend we installed AutoCAD ARchitecture 2010 on two Macs. A MacPro with Parallels 4.0 (Vista) and a MacBook Pro with Parallels 3.0 (Vista). Both installations finished withour error. But when launching AA2010 bith machines come to a crawl and the program takes 20-30 minutes to load and really never becomes functional. Previusly, we had no issues with AutoCAD Architecture 2007 or 2008. Any thoughts?
Hello, AutoCad Architecture 2010 is not officially supported by Parallels Desktop so we cannot quarantee proper work of the application: http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/features/3d/
This weekeend I instaled AUTOCAD 2008 on my MacBook Pro (4 Gb of RAM). I use Parallels 4.0. During the first 10 minutes AUTOCAD is incredibly fast. But then, starts to slow down and it becames a nigthmare. At this moment my VM is "working" with 2 processores and 5Gb of virtual memory. What can I do to?
same problem! macbook pro 2.4ghz 4gb ram parallels 5.0 windows 7 32bitt and acad 2010 32bitt. it takes about 20 min to start acad2010. if acad 2010 is not supported by paralles is an early version of acad supported by parallels 5.0?
Same issue as Emir but different specs. I am running a MBP 2.4GHz, 4GB ram with snow leopard, Parallels 5, Win 7 64 Bit, and Auocad 64 bit. Autocad 2010LT will launch but then freezes up and it is impossible to close windows even after 20 minutes. Basically, Autocad does not work at all. I did install on my other MBP which is 2.0 Ghz, 2 GB ram, snow Leopard, XP and program does launch and is operational but performance is very slow and not a realistic option for normal work. I just did it to see if it would work okay. Very anxious to see this issue get resolved.
