Ever since I had a Windows XP update, I can't run MS Communicator or NetMeeting. It always fails with a BSOD and the NO_MORE_IRP_STACK_LOCATIONS error. I checked the MS knowledgebase and they had a hotfix but it was included in the most recent XP updates so I don't think that's the issue. I've seen some tweets from other Parallels users that they are having the same issue but I don't know what programs are causing it for them. Any other ideas?
Out of the top of my head, I would suggest to try removing the anti-virus temporary. i.e. Parallels Internet Security, if you have it. There were some issues with Kaspersky and this BSOD, so this is a good way to start the troubleshooting. And, even more important, judging from the hotfix description here, it should make changes to the registry. Make sure that actually have the hotfix.
The Parallels security package is not installed. As best I can tell, the hotfix is installed (the installer said it worked). And I modified the registry as in the instructions. Any other suggestions?
