I am trying to figure out of it is possible to recover my .pvm file. I had to reinstall Windows XP after repetitive instances of the BSOD when restoring and trying to boot from my.pvm file. Is there any way to repair this file or will have to reinstall all of my Windows programs in a new VM?
Hello, Please search for the .pvm file in Finder --> Documents --> Parallels --> Win xp.pvm or in the location Macintosh HD -> Users -> "Your user name (The house" icon) ->Documents (Library) -> Parallels) and open the Virtual Machine Name folder. Else search in spotlight for the file .pvm. If the file does not exists, you can try to recover the files if you have time machine in your mac. If you do not have a time machine or a back up of your windows, then you need to re-install windows again.
