I have just recently upgraded to build 3844 and I have lost network connectivity in Windows XP).
I still have network and internet connection in Mac OSX.
    My system is OSX 10.5.7 - Parallels 4.0.3844 - Windows XP (SP3).
I have read other threads with similar problems and followed the instructions there but I have no luck getting a network connection.
I have uninstalled Parallels tools (with all the registry deletions etc) - on this thread - http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=92102
I have used the Cleanup Kernel utility on this thread - http://kb.parallels.com/en/6317
I have followed this thread through: - http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=92112
Network configuration is currently set at Shared and it shows "connected" and "enabled"
I have also tried setting to "Bridged Ethernet"

"scutil --dns" gives this result in terminal

    Hello,

Please follow the steps mentioned below:

    1. Launch Parallels Desktop but do not start the Virtual Machine.
    2. Go to Configure --> Network Adapter.
    3. Click on the -(minus) symbol on the bottom of the Window and remove Network Adapter.
    4. Restart the Virtual Machine.
    5. Once again stop the Virtual Machine--> Go to Configure.
    6. Click on +(plus) symbol and add Network Adapter.
    7. Make sure that the Network adapter is connected and enabled and also switch between Shared and Bridged networking.
    8. Restart the Virtual Machine.

    Thank you.
I just tried that and followed all instructions perfectly but it did not work.
When IE cannot connect I get the option to "Diagnose Network Problems"
I then get a report that says I should check my modem or router BUT I know they are working OK because I can connect in OSX (that is where I am sending this from)
I have just installed Parallels on my MacBook Pro and copied the VM over to it.
I run Win XP and guess what - I get an internet connection (on the same wired network)
I have tried uninstalling Parallels and re-installing but no luck.
As a final test, I just tried a demo version of VMWare Fusion and imported the same VM from Parallels.
I get immediate network and internet connectivity
So please give me a solution

    1) Please make sure that you are using shared networking

    2) Please click Start -> Run, run "cmd.exe" and type in the appeared window command "ipconfig /all" and post here the screenshot with output

    3) Please click Help -> Report a problem and post a problem report. Then post here it's number
