Hello guys! I need a little help with parallels desktop. I have installed a Windows XP and the video card simulated by the parallels desktop is lower than the one in my Mac OS X. In my macbook pro there is a video card with 256Mb memory and one with 512 Mb memory. In parallels desktop I can use the 256Mb video card only. Do you have any solution for this? Thanks in advance.
I suppose that you have Parallels Desktop 4.0. Parallels does not actually uses the same video card that you have, it creates a virtualized analog. Currently, the limit of video memory that you can allocate to the virtual machine is 256 Mb, so I think this is the case here. You can see this, for example, at the following link: http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v4/docs/en/Parallels_Desktop_Users_Guide/22895.htm
