I just purchased new MBP, I need to move my VM from the old one to the new one. I am not sure how to go about this. Parallels itself moved over, but not the XP OS, or any of the files. Any suggestions, I have already tried to understand the Transporter software, but I am just not getting it. I am running parallels 3.0 BTW.

    Any help is appreciated.

If this is Parallels 3.0, then you need the winxp.hdd file mainly. It might be located in two places:
    1. /Users/<username>/Documents/Parallels/<VM_name>/winxp.hdd
    2. /Users/<username>/Library/Parallels/<VM_name>/winxp.hdd

Just copy the file to your new MBP. Then, create a new virtual machine using the Custom Installation mode.
When prompted, choose "Use existing hard disk image" option and point to ther winxp.hdd file that you have copied.
