Good Morning Having been using Parallels for about 12 months now with no problems. This morning I tried to start my parallels and I keep getting the following message. Virtual machine cannot be started because of the following problem: Parallels Desktop is unable to access the virtual hard disk image file /Users/tobyherlinger/Documents/Parallels/Microsoft Windows XP/winxp.hdd. The file is used by other application. I have had a good look around trying to sort this issue but I keep drawing a blank. If there is any help out there I would really appreciate it as I cant get on my accounts system as a result. Many Thanks Toby H
First of all, I would suggest to use the following article: http://kb.parallels.com/en/4938 If that is not the case, back up the virtual machine (copy the .hdd to another place) and try applyng the solution from the following article: http://kb.parallels.com/4680
